Oh my God!! So, as the official head of the Best Buy 172 Boondock Saints Cult, I must say that the sequel to The Boondock Saints was well worth the wait. Thank you Troy Duffy for doing justice to the fans of the Saints.
For years we waited, prowled around on fan pages, passed copies of the DVD amongst friends, told of its greatness in stores, offered the coke guarantee that it would indeed be one of the greatest films they had ever seen. Thank you.
Peter Fonda. After your turn in Ghost Rider, I thought I was doomed to think of your glory days in the past, dead and long gone. But, no, my appreciation and faith in actors was restored with your performance. Kudos.
*******Spoiler Alert********
The return of Willem Dafoe......brings tears to my eyes and warms the heart of this tubby buddy. I have often told others that upon first seeing the original and Dafoe's portrayal of Agent Smecker, I wondered why Dafoe would take this role. But, upon further consideration, you realize that no one else could have done the role justice.
Yes, it has been years since the boys have been around, but they have not lost their touch. The fraternal bond is apparent and continues to be believable.
While poking fun at action movies, the use of props like a rope because it was seen in a movie, or any number of insane situations; Duffy brings a "realism" to the boys and their experiences that one must enjoy.
If you are male and do not enjoy this movie, go ahead and turn in your guy card. You no longer need it.
That is all.
